I Didn't Mean To

I just went in to look as a courtesy. Truly.

I love the idea of a moon phase watch. I mean, it's just a super cool complication.

But I'm gravitating towards "smaller" watches lately. That's not to say I don't admire larger size watches. I do. I just seem to be wearing my 39 or 40 mm watches.

And all the reviews I've read state that this watch is BIG. I knew I was not going to like it.

I was wrong. And it really doesn't feel big. In fact, on leather, it's downright butter on the wrist. Crazy comfortable. The looks just blew me away as I find it extremely attractive. i think it's the smallish lugs that make it wear smaller than it is.

I wore it to sleep last night and I barely felt it on. And the lume was surprisingly strong for my nightly 2:00 ritual.

Its definitely very thick, but I don't seem to notice that either. I'm 99% of the time with my sleeves rolled up anyway, so it's not a huge issue.

Regardless of it all, and the fact that I continuously surprise myself with my ever evolving preferences, this is a fun one.

I can't wait to see the movement of the moon as the month progresses.

Looks great on you! I thought they were spectacular also and wear great. I was fixed on the green one heh. Personally the crab claw/crescent hand is what I couldn't get over. But you're right like the xsom watches they wear nicely on wrist. Congrats.

Absolutely beautiful! I am anxiously awaiting this exact watch/model on order with my AD to arrive. I'm told it should be here within two weeks. Love the pics and appreciate being able to vicariously live through yours for now!

Sweet, that's such a cool piece. Can't decide for the life of me if I prefer the black or the blue, both are awesome.

Big congrats, Seth! (But you should've known better than to go into an OB with your credit card on).

Saw that at the OB and it is a great piece. However, I've always wanted the base model Speedy 9300 on leather so finally bought one two weeks ago and for a killer price. You're absolutely correct on descriptions assigned - altho 44.25mm it looks and feels like a 42mm on the wrist, very light, great lume, and comfy to wear that I barely notice it. Have ordered a few waterproof straps and leather shoes for it.

Thanks for sharing!

A lesson Ive yet to learn. Thanks for the nice words my friend.

The black is like night it's so deep. Love it. But the blue...

Nice moonie. Btw from the pic, it looks like the polished metal surrounding the bezel is all scratched up. Is that the case? I found mine easily scratched upon light contact.

Very nice Seth.

You are a lucky man, my wife would kill me if I woke her at 2 am.
