100 Days In...

It's been 100 days since I purchased my first Rolex (BLNR) and was thinking about what had changed in this time...

a) I've stopped thinking of it as a large £6k one-off purchase and more of a £60 per day one. In fact if I keep it until its first service this will be more like £2 per day, which is peanuts.
b) I've a few slight scratches on the bracelet from simple daily use. Quite pleased it now has a bit of character and intend only getting it polished at it's first service. Only 3550 more days to go!
c) Wasn't sure if it'd be a daily wear, but so far I've worn it daily.
d) Never thought I'd need another watch, but now I quite fancy adding a Sub & Daytona.
e) Last and by no means least. I'm truly amazed by the many knowledgable & helpful members of this forum. A big thank you for answering many of the stupid questions I'll inevitably ask going forwards.

Suppose I better post a picture...

ROFL, that's what we all said. Congrats on the purchase, she's a stunner. Wear it in good health.

Congrats man! Great choice. After the Sub and Daytona the vintage bug may hit. There is no cure. There is no going back either.

Congratulations on your great looking BLNR! Small scratches & swirls are inevitable, so just enjoy. Sounds like you've got the Rolex bug, the quality/feel is addictive! I foresee more watches in your future, but do enjoy your BLNR in good health. Welcome & Cheers!

Nice watch, I bought my first Rolex, the TT GMT2 about 14 years ago, it was pre-owned and I paid £2600 for it, at the time I also related to a daily cost , I remember thinking at the time that if I got 10 years enjoyment out of it then the actual cost per day was a lot less than £1 a day !!.

I did the same thing when I bought my first expensive ( to me ) surround sound TV when they first came out about 25 years ago, again at the time it was about £600, watching it over a five year period it was about 35p a day haha.
