Would you expect perfection with a £10,000 Rolex?

Hi guys

I've recently bought a bluesy and I keep looking at it with excitement as one does... It just slightly annoys me that the bezel is a little out, by approximately 1°.

What would you guys do, expect better or am I being pedantic?

I will post some pictures when I've had a few replies as I don't want to influence your decision.

BTW, I'm in an occupation that requires attention to detail, but as I'm the business owner, I don't want to be that pain in the backside customer that everyone hates.

What do you think people, return or not?

Not return but see if the place you bought it can/will adjust the bezel so it's correct. I'm guessing you've rotated the bezel to ensure it's off and you aren't accidentally clicking one extra, or one short, of perfect alignment.

Do you mean literally 1 degree; i.e. 1/6 of a second?

I would say it was literally 1 degree, would you class that as perfection?

That's why I never buy a watch without my loupe. But it's an easy fix. No worries.

yes i would expect that. bezel alignment or anything out of alignment annoys me!

although i know there is a certain amount of manual hands-on which goes into making watches. Not sure exactly which part of bezel is manual perhaps insertion of the ceramic piece into the bezel casing?

OK Guy's,

This is the watch in question...

Please advise if I'm being pedantic

Okay, this would bother me to no end. I would bring it back to RSC and have the bezel realigned.

Thanks for the advice, I'll do that as soon as the shop opens and go back to Omega, for a proper watch!

I can't live with a misaligned bezel on any watch or price point.

This is such an easy fix that I'd just have the dealer take a look.

Mick, that's such a great watch. Just have them align the bezel. Simple fix.

Yes but does the AD return it back to me in a nice green travel pouch? I'd sooner have the proper guys work on it than some idiot who's covering the store in the lunch hour

Don't overreact to Omega, just get it fixed, unless the beauty of the watch has been completely lost on you now which is very fickle. I've had Omegas with misaligned bezels and dial text, no brand is immune.
