My Milgauss GV, five years on

Although this is not my only watch. I must say this the most interesting watch that I have. I usually tend to buy watches that has a black dial and very conservative look. And I was originally going to buy the datejust II with a domed bezel, black dial and stick markers. It was my better half that suggested that I get this one instead.

My initial thoughts was that it was very "un-Rolex" like. And it wasn't something that I can wear everyday. But then, after a while...it grew on me. It turned out to be very versatile and fun. A little cheeky if I must say so myself. The orange lightning bolt second hand. The orange 3,6,9 hour markers. The green crystal that seem to look different in different lighting situations.

I have worn this watch from occasions where I was in a shirt and tie to when I was wearing shorts and t-shirts. It really is something that you don't see everyday and I like that. While I know that this watch is something of a love/hate thing for some and it is widely unpopular to others, it has taken a place in my heart and a watch which I will pass on to my son one day.

To the lovers of this beauty out there, here is to enjoying our Milgauss GV for many many many years to come...

The Milgauss is the watch that brought me to Rolex. I had a preconception that Rolex watches were tacky and boring, but the MG GV changed all that ! Now I find myself looking at subs, which would not have happened pre MG.

Thanks for the love folks...
@Adam, the sunlight was hitting the watch at all the right angles. Thus making it look more beautiful

Absolutely lovely.

I've been in love with my Milgauss, as well. It is also what initially drew me to Rolex. (I have the same black dial, orange 3,6,9 markers.)

The Milgauss GV seems to bring people to Rolex camp. For myself, this model renewed my love for Rolex once again.

I never knew how much I'd love the Milgauss until I got one! Great watch and so versatile. I flipped it and immediately missed it. Maybe someday I'll get another one.
