Your pictures are outstanding, are you a professional? I can never get mine that sharp, do you use a box? That grey strap is really setting off the watch.

Thx :) No, just an amateur photographer, but I've been doing the trial & error thing for quite some time, lol. I don't use a box - I don't really like the complete lack of a background that is usually the result of using a box and I use natural (indoor-daylight) lighting. Very rudimentary stuff, I admit...

As I'm always happy to share with anyone that asks, my recipe is trial & error plus a very sharp macro lens. I'm a Canon man, so in my case, the EF-S 60mm macro was perfect. It has paid for itself many times over, considering the quality of the results. This lens has three benefits; 1:1 macro capability, very sharp fixed (non-zoom) lens and coupled with an APS-C format body, doubles as a portrait lens too

This thread has to be one of the best introductions to a new watch. Your photos are excellent. I get the feeling you are influencing a lot of people with them.
Thanks for the wrist shots, keep them coming!
Cheers!

seriously they're stunning, and as a deliberator as to whether to splash the cash on a 233, this is certainly making my decision easier

Ok Nishant, it'll be a while before you find yourself that 368...
...so a 233 should keep you happy 'till then...

18 mths or so later on and I'm still rockin' the 233

~~~~~
Of course, it's going to be a little harder for my 233 to get that much wrist-time in 2014...
Congrats, the 233 is, in my opinion, one of the most significant models Panerai has ever made. It has all the best features, domed crystal, in house 8 day movement, sandwich dial, 1950 case, I could go on and on!
My I series dot dial
Hey Travelller, I have really enjoyed all of your posts of your 233 over this past year and your 233 review is a classic.
Here is my small contribution to your 233/grey strap combo
