Cartier LC dial question

Hi
I am just purchasing a Cartier de Calibre diver and it has the LC in a diamond on the dial

Can anyone shed some light on why this appears in some of these watches but most don’t have it

Looking forward to be educated :)

I bet it stands for Louis Cartier. Why it’s in some and not others, beats me. Maybe they know at a Cartier boutique.

Hi thanks for the reply - I assumed it was the initials of Luis Cartier but not sure of the reason why it’s on the odd few pieces

I have seen a couple of listings where the seller has referred to it as if it makes the watch more collectible but can’t see this myself. It doesn’t seem that anyone knows the relevance

Hopefully I can find out - I am a bit of a geek like that

All the best

It’s an item purchased with a heavy discount by a staff that works at Cartier.

Thanks for the info

Does this make the watch less desirable / affect the value ?

Best
