Is this 16103 Rolex Tapestry Dial Legit?
Recently acquired this nice 16103 Rolex from 1987
Is this a legit dial as its not Trinitum signed Thank you for your input! |

Idk much about DJ dials, specifically whether DJ Tapestry dials are the same as DD ones, but I suspect this black dial is either wholly aftermarket or repainted.
Aside from issues with the printing, on DD Tapestry dials there is a series of smaller concentric ridges, in addition to the larger vertical ones, which appears to be absent on this black dial. (Maybe someone with a Tapestry dial DJ can confirm whether they should be present?) Here’s a macro pic showing the concentric pattern - . |

Welcome to the Forum! Very nice dial. Yes, they were available and the designation of Swiss Made may just reflect that it is a service dial (not tritium). Do the plots react to light? |
