New AP Stealth Release: First self winding Concept Tourbillon

https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....OO.D031CA.01/

None of the watch review sites seem to have wind of this yet.
From the picture, the peripheral rotor seems to be dial side.
Pretty damn crazy looking.

Nice to see a peripheral rotor!
Pity their not used more often in watches, all that effort to finish a movement and it's end being obscured.

I would agree. Similar industrial but sporty type look. Amazing movement, complication and rotor and AP heritage. I would take it over an RM.

It is an awesome piece of kit for sure but I slightly prefer the GMT Concept released earlier this year.

I think part of that is because of the colors it was released in.
If they released in darker tones like the GMT it would have been better.

The 25 piece editions possibly but I am not sure. The GMT hasn’t hit Boutiques yet, well at least not in Asia. First one Sept/Oct I am told. I am relaxed - lots of other interesting incomings to look forward to.

Shot from beijing boutique. Very special winding, with a surprisingly high price tag. I like tourbillon gmt 26589 better too.

Amazing movement - but I do think the floating subdial stands out too much (in photos anyway). I wonder if some form of skeletonisation may have been better there.

And on the front too — I wonder if they have struck a deal with Bucherer, given their patent on a peripheral rotor (as per CFB A1000 movement), and a bit of a credit to Perrelet as well?
