Will the pam 468 be a good investment to make as there was only a 100 produced ?

No, they made several of those "100" releases all over the place. Anytime a new shop opens, another 100 are made, just different engraving on back.

I have a 468 - dont buy it for an investment - buy it if the location has a personal connection to you. Miami always has a close place to my heart so it is priceless to me :)

There used to be a time (early 2000s) when panerai raised its prices twice/year and you would be able to at least get your money back if you sold your PAM. Where we find ourselves now is that PAMs are way overpriced, esp compared with prices 10 years ago.

With the exception of the 382/507 pair (and let's wait and see the values of these in a few years), there aren't really any PAMs that one could even expect to get retail price upon selling it. Hell, even the 532 can be had for less than retail if you look hard enough.

Case in point, the current darling watch, the 372, retails for over $10k, yet these watches can be had all day long in the low 7s (and perhaps even in the high 6s). This tells me that the retail prices of Panerai are too high.

Additionally, the older models have recently enjoyed a significant increase in valuation (Pre-V, Pre-A and A/B t-dials) and I'm not sure if they can go much higher.

Then again, if I had a crystal ball...

I love my 372 but it looks to me like supply is greater than demand for most PAMs. I am not sure if this is because Panerai makes too many watches or because they are failing to stimulate new/additional demand. Whatever the case, I wouldn't buy any modern PAM as a financial investment.
