It might just be me. But I don't think I could ever buy anything of substantial value especially a Rolex off of eBay.

Looks OK from here. However, there is no guarantee that would be the watch you'd actually receive.
The only way I'd consider an eBay purchase of that amount from such a low-feedback seller would be if they were local, and I could pick-up/inspect it in person before paying. Otherwise, no way. YMMV...

I wonder bout serial....i just bought new and is has 6 digit no letter FYI. I know u can't see in the pic but one thing I noticed with the cyclops they never use as a way to tell if fake but I notice on real is that if u look at watch from straight above the date always looks high in position. It's like they make it like that because you normally look at date from angle which positions the number in centre

Err, is the "serial" you are referring to something like 116200 or 116610?...

Are those same 6 digits engraved in the rehaut of your watch at the 6:00 position?

May need a closer look with magnifying glass. Random s/n are 8 positions of numbers/letters. So perhaps the leading characters, or tail end characters are letters and that may be reason you thought it was only 6 characters long.

Example attached-

Scroll down to the serial numbers and see some pics of valid random numbers cards.

It says SN406xxx in rehaut and warranty list only 6 numbers. I just assumed the SN was serial number. Maybe I got a screwed up number that might make a collectible not. And the watch is from an authorized dealer

OK I just ran this near serial number on Bob's watches serial number lookup and Inc. the S and N in it and it says 2011 2016 so I guess it is part of the serial number just odd I guess. But still the warranty card only lists the numbers

Post a pic of the card and rehaut. Something is not right.
Correct Rolex serial is currently 8 random alphanumeric characters, and it is identical on the card and the rehaut.

So what you have is a random serial number. And it could have been made anytime from late 2010 onward. We've strayed so far from the OP's question that I suggest you start your own thread to figure out serial numbers. Not a rant, just sharing in the spirit of communication.
