So... gave this a try as we like a buttery oaky chardonnay. It was rather nice and the price is only $8-$10.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay 750ml

- Our Buttery Chardonnay is golden straw in color and with decadent aromas of ripe pineapples, sweet milk tart, and creme brulee. Creamy and rich, this wine opens with concentrated flavors of custard pie, graham crackers, and vanilla bean. Notes of toasted oak and baking spices lead to a lingering finish.

Enjoy our Buttery Chardonnay with roasted chicken, fettuccine carbonara, grilled salmon with blue cheese, or mango green salad.

The 2018 50th Anniversary 1.5L Limited Edition bottles go on sale tomorrow. Only 8 barrels were made! Hopefully I can get my hands on one!

Icon6 No Luck Getting A Bottle!

Dear Larry,

Thank you so much for your support and passion for our wines. Your enthusiasm for the 50th Anniversary Celebration Selection has left us speechless and exceeded all expectations this morning. Due to overwhelming interest, this extremely limited bottling sold out in record time.

We understand you want to be the first to know about all things Silver Oak and will be in touch with more exciting 50th Anniversary exclusives this fall.

As always, thank you for being part of our community. Silver Oak would not be what it is today without you.

Life is a Cabernet,

The Duncan Family

We're heading to Walla Walla in a few weeks and plan to visit our two wine clubs - L'Ecole No 41 and Pepperbridge. It's been nearly 15 years since we visiting the valley and I imagine there are a lot of new wineries toy try out. Recommendations?

Bummer! We use to have a lot of Silver Oak in our cellar from the 90's and early 2000's but saw the winery change - staff attitudes became very stuffy IMHO and we could by it cheaper in town than we could from the winery, so we dropped off the "mailing list" (we were rudely informed they don't have a wine club during a visit). Still love their wines but we aren't adding any more to the cellar.

We may be there in late Dec this year. We have an old high school friend of mine and his family to visit too in Escondido.

Very Excited that I was fortunate to Win a few wine auctions the past two weeks. 6 bottles in each. Both are Stag's Leap S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 and 2012. I'm splitting the 2005's with a friend.

I can't wait to taste them! Keeping bottles at auction house until the weather cools off before shipping them.

It’s spectacular. Burgundy white at its best (I think) mellow understated oak, cantaloupe and soft wild flower honey. Just perfect.

This was my last of 4 in the locker so I had to look all over the state to locate a few more. Scored a case today!!

Paired it with a Gruyère flat bread with lardons! Very French.

Went to a small local steakhouse tonight to celebrate my wife’s retirement and had a bottle of Daou from Paso with dinner. At home now with a WA wine from the cellar.
