Saw my AD manager having dinner with a grey

Guys, I was just having dinner in Mayfair! Saw my AD manager having dinner with a grey! I took a picture immediately!

I've had dealings with both of them and they both recognized me! Do you guys think I should report this manager? There should definitely be a Chinese wall between ADs and greys!

This manager is an A**hole! He uses Rolex as a bait to sell overpriced jewelry and threatened to ban me recently for passing on too many watches!

So now you think that you should control who other people get to spend time with? The fact that the manager of an AD was having dinner with a grey market dealer doesn't prove anything nefarious is going on. Did you observe (and record) the manager passing Rolex packages to the grey dealer?

By your own admission you "pass on too many watches," so perhaps you should be banned from all AD locations.

Sorry, by passing on, I meant I declined several DJs they offered me recently that I had previously registered my interest for!

You should ask him when you should stop in to pick up whatever watch you’re waiting on. Then say, or should i get it from “insert grey dealer name”? Looks like you guys had a nice dinner!

Was this the same AD you recently read a "shocking review" about by any chance?

Did he recognize you? He banned you now, for sure

Passed on so many that you expressed interest

Report the Manager? Are you Karen?

It wasn’t so many years ago that a dealer was a helpmate to ADs. Especially for inventory that was shipped by Rolex to the AD despite having low to no demand locally. Now?

The bundling game back then was buy 2 dogs = get 1 hot model. The uplift for the secondary market was high enough to support the dealer system. And the AD kept up healthy inventory turnover ratios to show the bankers/factors who funded them throughout the years. Remember, Rolex charges net on shipment - they aren’t “floorplan” factors for the whole AD shop. Most ADs had a small percentage of Rolex inventory compared to the entire inventory. Now, every piece is in demand. So other products are part of the game (like jewelry).

Now every new Tom, Dick and Harry wants to pile into the “loathing lounge”…I’ve dealt with many of TRF’s trusted dealers and can appreciate the service they provide.

The current campaign against grey’s would have you think that airlines shouldn’t offer 1st Class seats in the front of the same plane at a higher price than the back row.

Logic is a little off,
If said airlines sold those 1st class seats to ticket scalpers and never had seats available, let the loathing begin.

You sound a bit psychologically over-invested. Don’t do anything except shrug it off and move on.
