Significant other.
Good morning all.
Was just curious, how many of you does your other half share your passion for watch collecting? Mine thinks I’m crazy. Lol. She is very frugal and sees spending money on watches as unnecessary, but still allowed me to some extent. Just curious. Thanks James |

I kinda got my wife into it, she has a few pieces but she is content. Certainly not a WIS but appreciates the stories/history of the three brands she has (AP, PP and Rolex). |

Nope. My wife has no interest at all. She used to think I was crazy but I have calmed down my collecting in the past couple years. I am not sure I could afford her to be into it either

Mine, not in the slightest.
She’ll wear some of mine (and she has her own watches as well) but couldn’t care less about it overall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Lol, my wife never said no. She pushes me every time when it’s a Rolex or AP. Never on Patek. She hates Patek, especially Nautilus and Aquanaut

Mine doesn’t like handbags either. I spend most of the money in our relationship. Lol
Guess it’s good she doesn’t like anything expensive. |

She really likes them, but hasn't really branched into a collector. She wears a vintage constellation with a blue dial. She's hinted at the Reverso which would be a great piece to celebrate an coming milestone.

Fortunately she isn’t as crazy as I am about watches, but she does like her Rolexes. She has 3, I have none.

my wife could care less. she's a dialysis nurse, and doesn't even wear a watch. that said, she puts up with my obsession. so much so that when we got married in st. lucia in 2016, as we were getting ready to board the plane to come back home, i was looking over the selections in the case, and spotted a 116610LN (back when such things were available). i told the salesperson that i really had my heart set on a green one. she said hold on a minute and came back out with a 116610LV from the safe. said she could wrap it up and in plenty of time for us to board. i politely declined.
yeah, she still doesn't let me live that one down. |

I will attribute to the odd angle of my photo. Here is the full frontal.
IMG_13092019_232912_(850_x_1000_pixel).jpg She insists on diamond bezel. |

My girlfriend is in the game with me :)
She bought her first Rolex eight years ago and just bought a second. She has her mind set on a Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez Vouz Day/Night as her next buy *happy is* |

My partner thinks this is all stupid. But she doesn't like expensive things in general. I think the only reason she got around to my bag collecting habit is that I tend to be good about value preservation. I think she'll come around the same way on watches, although it's 50/50 that I might come around her way and sell the 5205R I just bought.

The girl is not into luxury at all. She is a pediatrician and doesn't wear any watches. Grew up on a farm and would rather get a new John Deere than spend $$$$ on a watch or a bag for that matter. I am exaggerating but I had a hard time teaching her it is worth while spending $$ on clothes...

I hide my watches in my car trunk and leave the house wearing a Casio then swap to my collection put them on when I get to work and take them off when I get home and swap back the casio. They’re insured so it’s ok in the car. She thinks all I wear or own is a Casio.
