My wife does not share the passion for watches, but I don't share her passion for Hermes bags so we are even.

My wife isn't a watch person, she wears one daily but isn't concerned about the cost, style, etc. I did convince her to let me buy her a Rolex but she's just as happy wearing her cheap Mickey Mouse watch with the moving hands. The Rolex is pretty much her daily wear though.

my wife dailies a vintage speedster and has her eye on a yellow gold 5170 or white gold 5140. I love her taste and the fact that she tends to gravitate toward timeless design and craftsmanship in everything...and it fits well with my angle of "this is a watch for BOTH of us." She appreciates the things I've invested my time and energy in to, including the watch hobby. And I don't mind if she wears them either. She works in fashion so it's pretty fun to have her come home and relay a story of someone in her office who notices a watch, approach her to ask about whatever she's wearing and then have her rattle off details/story etc. It's probably more fun than if I get in to the conversation myself.

I guess I should update my post.

That is awesome. Never saw one of these until John Mayer talked about it... probably would have flipped my ceramic daytona into it. Beautiful watch

Thanks guys. To be honest before John Mayer I was going to get her rose gold Daytona with the diamond indices for her birthday in September, I didn’t even know there was a green dial version (I never checked the k gold section of the Rolex website as I felt I gold is for the older crowd) that was how out of touch I’m with Rolex, I haven’t bought one in years.

But yes this one is quite a looker, the green dial is a great dial.

My wife appreciates quality things. I bought her a DJ. Though, she does confuse fashion with substance, at times.

My wife is in to watches like myself, she has a 4948r but her usual daily is an AP 15450.
