The writing of that article is poor as it also puts the Explorer and the ExpII in the same paragraph as being designed for exploration. The Explorer didnt come onto the marketplace with Explorer on the dial until the year after Norgay summited (closely followed by Hillary ). The ExpII wasnt introduced until the early 1970s for speliologists, so quite a bit of time elapsed between the two.
And the Bond watch as quoted is also wrong But besides all that, the brand is well known enough to make it in an online encyclopedia.
