Just google image search "meteorite BLRO". The first row of pics has at least several examples of the MK3 bezel, which almost looks like a coke in some lights. The MK1 pink/purple is not there.

Add that to the other possible damage they might/could do to the watch and in the long run you’d probably be better off flipping it and starting over. Just my 2cents Brett.

Another Pepsi that looks like a Coke

On numerous "Pepsi color" threads I have shared my experience in being offered and declining a new Pepsi because it looked like a Coke. I shared pics of that watch in comparison to the next one I was offered which I gladly purchased...

Anyway. I just noticed a new on for sale here that is dark like the one I didnt love. Admin, pls allow this link to remain because it isnt promoting the sale of the watch but rather this watch's color is relevant to the topic of this thread where I am double posting.

thx!

Have a look- a new Pepsi that looks like a Coke

I'd love to see it directly next to another earlier GMT to really see how dark it is. I wonder what the lighting/editing is doing. That's definitely the darkest blue Pepsi I've ever seen in person or in pictures.

Interesting.. Given how polarising the Pepsi vs Coke thing used to be. Can't believe Rolex would do it like this since they now apparently acknowledge terms like Pepsi and Hulk on their website. That last watch is clearly as far away from a Pepsi as you can get!

I love the red on that bezel but I hate the blue. That is what I’ve been saying all along. I love the blue on my Pepsi and wish I had the red from the one you linked. To me that would be the perfect Pepsi. Having said that I would much rather have what I have now than what you linked. Big time.

Not sure what MK my bezel is but I don't really care, to be honest....love the watch and wearing it everyday.

The people complaining about it looking like a Coke are probably the same ones wishing Rolex would release a Coke....just go get the 126710blro then

Everyone is different, but, for me, if I waited that long for that watch, I would not be happy with this variance.

Bas, what do you think?
Would Rolex grade these Red/Blue bezels, and give
them separate part numbers?

It seems to be a slightly pointless exercise for us here, to try and judge colour
hues, made and viewed on a myriad of digital appliances, with all the variables
involved.

Well every variance has been listed on this thread so which one would you not be happy with? LOL

That is something. I wouldn't want that watch. I'd prefer the purple pink combo over a Coke any day. The real issue with that watch is that you can't really enjoy the real Coke-ness since it's not truly black and not truly blue.

OK I’m really confused right now. Here is my Pepsi once again. I agree the red has a pinkish tint to it but you think the blue is purple? It looks blue to me. When I joined the Navy I found out I have issues with different shades when I took the color blind test so maybe that’s my problem but I definitely can tell the difference between blue, purple and all the other major colors.

No, to clarify, my response was stating that I'd prefer the extreme variance of the BLRO bezel(not necessarily yours) vs that "Coke".
I honestly love the colors on your BLRO, that blue is really blue. Given that is direct sunlight, I imagine it may look better in indoor lighting.

I am lucky to have in my collection the mk1 and the last variation, as always bought in AD. the photographs are made in the same position and the same light. The difference is remarkable. In my personal opinion I like the MK1 more.

I like the Mk1 more, too. The Mk3 is approaching a Coke. Really dark

I think the BLRN is the best looking Rolex on a jubilee bracelet. That's why I bought one and it makes sense black for night blue for day. Can't figure out how they ever came up with blue for night and red for day. It's a tool watch so color's should be functional.

I for one love the MK3 as it is more "under the radar" and not with neon colors.

I like them all. They are all unique and beautiful. A coke would be very nice also. However out of Batman, Coke and Pepsi the Pepsi is definitely my favorite. And the Jubilee bracelet is definitely my favorite for all of them.

Is asked the same thing....Rolex uk told me i could do this and they would let me see the available inserts to choose the one i liked best.....around £700 and theuy retain the original of course.

If you bought one today would you automatically get MK3 bezel? How can you identify MK2 vs MK3 ?

Basically, each MK version is darker than the last. MK1 is the lightest variation and can look a bit pastel in certain light.

I never realized this. MK-3 makes me want it more! I think it would go with more with the darker blue.

I know I sound like a broken record on the subject, but recent incomings seem to support my theory that the bezel color variation changes with production batches.

More recent incomings here on TRF look like the first version that came out at launch in 2018

I honestly think you’d have to see what RSC says and try to define the “darker blue, deeper red” color, with them to see if it can be done at all.

Mine is a 2020 and looks like blue and red to me. This pic is a light as it ever looks. They change depending on the lighting.
