I got the call!
After a year of doing research and getting familiar with the Rolex brand I decided to try my luck and walk into an AD seeking a Day Date 40 Everrose/Green face. This turned out to be more of a task than I had imagined. After rolling the dice at several ADs from LA to NY and coming up flat I went with my second option. I walk into the AD on my birthday in September, explain to her my situation and she says, “Well we don’t have your first choice available, but I’ll put you on the list for the other one; Happy Birthday.” She then returns from the back with a bottle of champagne. Fast forward 1 month & 1 week. I’m locked out of my Apartment, completely drained waiting for the Super and boom I get the call. “We have you’re watch, when are you available?”
Going to pick it up tomorrow. Can you guess what reference I ended up going with? |
