Wait time for New Subs

Happy Holidays!

I am interested in purchasing one of the new submariners (black sub date or Cermit). I am curious about recent successes/wait times? I have a decent relationship and purchase history with my AD.

Thanks

Sounds like you should ask your AD.

They seem to be rolling in fairly regularly FWIW.

I got mine about 2 weeks after it’s release.

It honestly totally depends on the dealer. I have a good relationship with my dealer, and I've spent a decent amount of money, but I'm not the biggest fish in the sea by far. Still, they invited me to the trunk show for the new models and I could buy whatever I wanted right away, so I ended up with 5 watches, including the Cermit and the new TT blue Sub. They don't play too many games, and value my business (even if it's not crazy amounts), but each dealer is different.

Met with my AD yesterday. Told him I would like a sub w/date in SS (either bezel). I will let you know how long it takes.

There are so many variables only God really knows lol. Go into your AD and be honest with them though, go in a couple times and express interest every time.

Cermit is going to be a little harder. I wanted the Blusey. I texted AD and It appeared like magic one hour later.

If you purchased your other pieces there, I think you’ll get it in just a few weeks.

UPDATE: AD is waiting to hear what their supply will look like in 2021 and will get back to me. The waiting game begins...

I've been told roughly six months. Would be first Rolex from an AD...previous purchase history is a men's Cartier watch.

After being told by several ADs that they were no longer putting people on waiting lists, my oldest, original dealer had one in my hand in a week.

All depends on your location, AD, your AD relationship, blah, blah, blah... I happen to live in North Carolina and you’d have better luck winning the lotto than getting a SS Rolex.

With the scarcity of inventory and the suspicion of trans shipping, you were able to purchase five Rolex watches at one event? If they had dozens of clients, did they offer that same privilege to everyone? Most of us will have zero chance of that occurring.
Next time, take pre-orders.

It all depends on your AD, relationship, how often they come in.
