Do you use your Rolex as a daily watch? Show your scratches

I have posted something similar in the Patek and Audemars Piguet forum.
I would like to see pictures of the Rolex and what activities you use it for.
I use my watches to go to work, cinema, theatre, dinner, but also to go to the mountains, trekking, beach, swimming pool....

An example of a battered Rolex 😬

I wear a Rolex everyday unless there’s a good chance of damaging it. I rock climb, hike, mountain bike, row etc and to me there’s no point in wearing anything other than a G shock in those situations. I don’t see the sense in deliberately damaging an expensive watch.

ive always got on of them on. Sea dweller for any day when i might be more prone to a knock. Having said that 90 per cent of watch damage i have ever sustained has been at home in the house.

I've had my DJII 116300 as my first Rolex and been wearing it daily for almost 9 years; recently had it serviced at RSC, came back like brand new.

Some people are against RSC polishing watches, not me! Well done!

I love the idea that my watches tell a story of my travels and experiences.

A scratch here from scuba during in The Maldives, a scratchers there from surfing in Maui.

The truth is less romantic. 9 out of 10 scratches come from jean buttons and the others from wacking it on my desk

If I am going to be doing something where it is almost certain I will bang a watch around I wear a cheaper one, just like I don't wear awhite dress shirt to change the oil in my truck. I don't know why so many carry their manhood on the premise of screwing up nice stuff.

Most days, sure a nice watch is the norm but what is the obsession with this idea of thinking damage is some badge of honor?

Trekking ? We call that walking where I come from and we do it without carbon fiber poles.

Desk diving marks are ubiquitous. Just have to be relaxed about it and polish at your service if they bug you. Then, good as new.

A Explorer II 16570 Polar is my daily. I do take it off if doing plumbing or something else where it is likely to be quickly banged up. Nowadays that is pretty rare. Mostly just desk diving marks from working at home.

A little over two years with me. It takes a good 80% of the time on my wrist.

My daily for 8 years: work, going out, swimming, ocean. Serviced/polished by RSC NY once in 2018 since power would die after 1 day despite wearing. A lot of mini scratches on PCLs but not noticeable unless up close. Last pic with my new daily :)

I´ve been wearing my 14060 nearly every day for 25 years now. It has never been polished, just serviced and cleaned...

I put it away for the time being. They are not noticeable from normal distances but its a brand new watch, the first ones always hurt the most.

My wife just laughed in my face when she saw how depressed I was....

Looking know for my first Rolex.

Wish I had bought a Sub when they were available for $1500, it would have developed some character by now, like my favorite old leather jacket

I tend to go for aftermarket straps instead of OEM bracelets and save my bracelets to keep them close to new. I also like the straps more from a comfort pov. The trick is to find the right strap for the right watch!!!

I wear Rolexs 6 days a week, hardly any marks on any. I only scratched the Blnr once, the first week I bought it when I took a flyer to Texas for a long weekend. I have no idea how it happened.

Wow... unfortunate how you damaged your jewelry...that RSC submission may not come around until another 10 or 15 years

I wear an Apple Watch when working out, going on long walks, and cycling.

Of course, I’m just as likely to scratch my Rolex when sitting around the house doing nothing, so not sure it matters.

Right lug also, but not that noticeable. Ironic thing.... Was removing to put on an Oyster. With the oyster fitted because it follows the lug, the damage can be easily seen by naked eye. With the original jubilee, the bracelet come up from the lug and masks the damage.... So I have left it on the factory Jubilee... Damaged the lug and back to square one!
