This may be the first appearance of this watch for sale on TRF as it is extremely rare, released as part of a 5 watch set in 2015 (costing over $300,000) to commemorate the discontinuation of the 38mm case size by F.P Journe.

The watch was purchased from A Collected Man in London in February 2018. They received a set on consignment from a noted Journe collector and, to my knowledge, are one of the first dealers to sell the watches individually.

The Octa Calendrier is one of the most popular original designs by Mr. Journe and this example is one of a kind, presented in a stainless steel case with the excellent rose gold movement, yellow gold dial, retrograde date and 120hr power reserve. Journe collectors will know that apart from the premium minute repeater, the brand does not do any watches in steel cases, making this Octa truly unique.

The watch is in near mint condition. There is a scratch across the logo on the deployant. The case is in perfect condition. A copy of the original certificate issued to the first owner is included (the serial is lower than 20 out of 38). The watch comes without a box but I'd like to offer the buyer the option of a personalised Smythson watch roll within the asking price.

Price is £40,000/$53,000. I would prefer a face to face transaction in the UK but all enquiries will be answered. I believe there is only one other example of this model on the worldwide market, going for a much higher price. Please contact me at paul@etwaroo.com or via private message.
