Great choice! Just ask Patek to properly reverse the B&W indicator number for leap year as they did for day / month and you're set.

Patek 5539. Hell, give me any one of these and I'll die a happy man.

I see what you mean, perhaps they thought those apertures were so small that, if they did it, readability would be impaired. Regardless, I'd take it as is, once upon a time...

Yeah it could be for legibility in such a tiny aperture, or maybe for symmetry with the day/night indicator?

It does not exist yet but it would be a custom watch from Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers.

1. Grand Chime
2. 5711 Blue

... These seem almost impossible to get your hands on.
I hope my AD can get their hands on a 5740G. This seems farfetched too even though the pricetag is 105,000 CHF.

5270P. If i got that i just might pack up and go home and be done. Do i really want it though, considering that? Probably not.

As my name alludes, 5531r. While I am an ardent world timer collector, I however would be lying if I told you that was my ultimate grail. 3973. I would genuinely sell everything I have (not just watches, house, cars, everything goes) just to own that watch. Alas, one can dream...

5740G and/or a Rolex 14k 6241 John Player Special on a jubilee bracelet. The watch my grandfather wore and the watch that got me into watches.

No, I wouldn't have any PP,AP,A&S. To be honest, some of those watches are ugly, but I would just stick to plain old Rolex.

Looking at some posts this comes to mind

Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit.
