Vintage Tudor Chronograph Monte Carlo 7169/0 opinions please

I am interested in this vintage Tudor 7169/0 aka Monte Carlo. Ca. 1970. Owner said dial and hands are original. Case was previously polished. I only have a few photos. Could anyone tell if the watch looks ok? Also seems prices of these vintage Tudor chronographs have really gone up, what would a reasonable price for a decent one of these? I could only find
a few being listed in some major websites.

Thank you. I don't know much about these vintage Tudor chronographs. The colorful dials are lovely.

Thank you. That was about the same price for a Rolex 116520.

The bracelet looks a little loose you you may need to factor in a rebuild of it. The edges on the case are really soft too so I would also factor in a correct polish to bring back the sharp lines of the lugs and case.

Thank you.

This watch is priced a few thousand less than the one sold at the other major dealer. I am still hesitating.

There are some guys sharp with Tudor Chronos, hold tight. When these pop up they are expensive.

Factor in $500 to fix band

Factor in an entire service. Will cost you much more. These were the coolest Chronos Tudor ever made IMO.

Your right, more like $1500-2k

I owned this one for a few days, and I probably should have kept it. They are super cool looking.

Is around 15k USD a reasonable price?

The bakelite bezel looks great. Is it a 7149?

7149/0 I think, lovely watch. It had a couple issues. I was dead set on flipping it and getting a 16750. It was too pricey for me to hold on to realistically.

If I could - my next watch would be a tudor Chrono, big block or even the later (after the ones above) black/orange dial Monte Carlo.

Am I crazy or were these selling for less than half of these numbers five years ago?

Sorry I don't really understand. Did you mean five years ago these Montecarlo were sold for more than now?

I don't like the font on the orange minute-track numbers. It looks too fat. For example, compare the "60" with Tekno's photo above, which looks correct.

I'd also say 15 k is suspiciously cheap.

Opposite. I thought less than $10k. Happy to be corrected by someone who actually knows about these funky beasts.

The dial is everything in these, I know from experience. They were notoriously inconsistent in quality and many have been relumed, repainted etc. A loupe is essential when considering these!

Eric's is a 94210, though. Very nice and minty, but they sell for significantly less than the 7169/0 we're discussing here. Solid examples of the 7169/0s go for 17 - 20 USD. Or at least, they did before Covid.

A lot of them have the wobbly "toothpaste" hour-marker lume that looks like a bad redial/relume job, but is absolutlely original. 1970s quality control!

Not sure about value, here are few pictures of mine. Mine is new and never worn. Most of the issues are usually the (white) spots on the grey part of the dial. Secondly for some reason the hands usually deteriorate. It is something most of them have. I have an extra set of hands, but I just keep it seperate from the watch. Maybe one day change it.

Fabulous. I can't see any spots on the dial though.
