Just finished bringing a Seiko Weekdater back to life.....

I have tons of stuff that I've bought from retired watchmakers in my shop. I had some friends over that are interested in watches and they loved digging through all the stuff I had. One of them found an envelope with two of these in it. I hated to break it to him, but I already knew about them. He thought he found gold, and fell in love with them. So, I'm restoring them. First one is ready. Second will need a new or refinished chapter ring though. Enjoy the photos. Can't wait to wear mine!

Beautiful and one of my favorite classics. We have been working on some Bellmatics lately to get them going. They are a super pain in the butt though.

Enjoy the watch.

Vintage Seiko autos are bulletproof!!!! My FIL gave me one from probably the mid 80's, it was dirty, and bandless. Sprayed it down with Windex, put a band on it, and gave it a shake. Been running perfectly ever since. It was probably sitting in the back of the desk drawer for 25 years.

No more of this one since it has a new home. But, watch #2 is the same model. Will be starting on it soon too!
