Beware!!

Recently I had a guy contact me via instagram wanting to buy my Alaska, after we chatted for a bit he requested that I send him additional photos including the LE number of my Alaska. At this point, he confirmed the purchase and we agreed upon a wire transfer as the payment method. The next day he claimed to have sent the money via wire transfer from his bank however, after checking with my bank after 24 hours they could not confirm a pending transfer coming into my account. I checked again 48 hours later and still nothing. During this time, this guy demanded I send him that watch regardless of the funds clearing in my account. I obviously told him thats not how I conduct business and he tried to accuse me of doing bad business.
NOTE. He also screenshot all my photos of my Alaska including the photo of my LE number, so be very very careful.
I don't like to say any names publicly but if you are concern you can DM me and I will give you his IG name.
BEWARE SELLERS and BUYERS. LOTS of scams out there during the holidays.

If he's a scammer you SHOULD post his name!

Thank you for sharing. I don't think I could ever sell a watch online.

Absolutely - I'd post his name, location, email, contact info... Anything that would help an honest seller avoid a scammer.

I would wait a few days and ask for an explanation. If he is a scammer, he will not return your message.

Normally I'd agree, but this is def a scammer. A wire is quick, and had he wired the funds, he'd be taking much more drastic steps.

Personally, I'd be sending screenshots, on the phone with the bank, and if all else fails, I'd already be on the horn with law enforcement.

Op mentioned it has already been over 48 hours, 100% a scammer.

He used to go by @861321 on instagram and has since changed his name numerous times. This guy is good and I have multiple friends in the watch world who have been almost scammed, and a few who have all by this guy. Here is another thread about him. He is in Toronto and claims to come over to Niagara Falls to ship items to save customs. He says he will set up a PO Box for you to ship to there as well. He tried to trade my his BLNR for an 1803 I had and I got suspicious and backed out only to read and hear other horror stories... https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=565561 Glad you are safe and that you still have the watch my friend!
