AD Relationships

Often read of them here, and today realized I had a trio sitting on a winder reminding me of one of the benefits of a relationship with my AD.

Definitely not a huge spender there, but have gotten to know the people over the years, usually offer them first crack at any purchase I am looking to make, and think they appreciate selling this stuff to an overexcited geek when it comes in, and one who wears it..

Beautiful trio there. I have the SD43 and love that Sky Dweller. Ceramic Dayton is no slouch either. Enjoy wearing them. Tough choice to make in the morning I bet.

Nice collection!

X2 on AD relationships - not a big spender at all but that's how I was #2 on the list for the Daytona C!

Interesting collection; mine as well except for substituting the SD4KC for the SD43. 43mm is a bit large for my wrist. 42 might be considered as well but I really like mine.

AD Relationships

Beautiful watches, on the topic of ADs, I have this exact problem with my AD. They never appreciate that I only deal with them and always treat me as if they do me huge favor giving me SS pieces (I got hulk and SD43 from them).

Now I have my name on Daytona C with them for over a year and batman for more than 6months and they keep telling me that I have very slim to no chance getting them.

I wish I could direct my spend away from them but unfortunately they are the only rolex AD in the country.

I think it is time to start over with another AD overseas. If anyone could direct me to a good AD that will honor their waiting list please feel free to pm me their name. Thank you

Yeah I prefer to grab and go, and often wear the same thing a few days in a row.

Love the watches, Bill, but think your winder's a bit out of sync.

I’m a salesman. 43yrs & still at it. Nothing means more than a referral. Anytime I hear of someone looking for jewelry I bring them to his store or at least call him with them of speaker phone. He appreciates it. Great salesman want your business earn your friends/referrals. Once they know you help them they’ll help you. My HULK is proof of this.

Great collection and I'm glad you're maintaining the people aspect of relationships..I feel it's one of those things going in most modern business.

I only have one complaint and that's the 116506 you sold prior.

Maybe it’s the ADs in my town. I rarely see the same sales people twice.

Hard to establish relationships when there is a revolving door for employees.

I just went right to the top of the food chain and dealt with that person at the AD. Store manager or owner is your target. Plus they are the decision makers on who gets what allocation when the watches come in.
