Mine hover around + 2/3 seconds a day, but my vintage watches can vary a bit.

Am I missing something here? Your SD runs +1SPD, but if you take it off for 2 hours it will gain 30 seconds? That's not good, with or without "soul".

If one of my watches is off enough to draw my attention, I'll monitor it for a few days. If it's off consistently, I take to my AD. Otherwise, my life is such that I don't care if the watch doesn't keep perfect time.

I have a couple of plastic watches that keep near perfect time, but I don't enjoy them nearly as much as one of my Rolex watches.

Mine is dead smack on. I'm pleasantly surprised at its accuracy, because I'd heard in the past that Rolex's aren't precise time pieces or at least inconsistent in that department.

Just back from Rikki. Beautiful service by the way. Watch is less than .5 sec a day. Could not be more pleased with workmanship and price of service.....Jimmy

my watches seem to gain about 10 seconds in the first 24-48 hours then they remain spot on +10 (not +10 a day, just the initial +10 with no further fluctuations) for however long (many months) i let them run for

How Precise is your Watch???

I don't really measure on a regular basis but I usually do an initial and every couple months just look. My Sub C is about 5 months old and its my best accurate watch. It's about .02 a day. My BLNR was about .08 so also great. My Planet ocean was about 2 and then finally Panerai was 4 or 5 sec a day. All were decent but those Rolex's are almost dead on.

All of mine are pretty much spot on

Note: the amplitude was low on this watch. Has since been serviced and much better.

The Rolex(s) never need adjusting when they're running. Other watches run fast or slow and you notice it after a few weeks. Sometimes even a few days. But all 3 Rolex are spot on, it's uncanny. My little OP 36mm has been running non-stop for around six months without me having to set it. They're all 2015 models, so still pretty factory fresh.

My new d blue is <0.1 spd
I use the watchtracker app once in awhile.
Other than that i set it with an atomic clock and then check it against that every few weeks to see how it's doing.
Pretty amazing really!!

Last time I checked my 14060M lost 1 second in 3 days. That's amazing! Most accurate mechanical watch I own.

I wear my SubC for about 8 hrs a day when I do wear it. It's currently been running for 1.5 weeks and right now the watch is at 0 seconds. When off my wrist, I place it either flat with dial up to pick up seconds or stand it up vertically to lose seconds. Acutally, if I place the watch at about 30* angle with the dial upwards it will pretty much hold it's timing. I use the clear travel box for storage in case you're wondering how I'm placing the watch at these positions.

My GMT II C LN is +0.75s/day on the wrist which is pretty incredible.

I use a timegrapher 1900 as well to keep an eye on amplitude and beat error.

I have a lot of autos and this particular Rolex is the most accurate of all of them, and it's never been regulated or serviced either.....yet.

Best,

I bought my 5512 Submariner back in the 1970's, and it never left my wrist until last year, when it got its first and only service. It took about 2 months to "settle in", and is running now between 0 and 0.1 seconds per day slow, easily corrected by leaving it face up at night when I think about it (not very often). I set and manually wind it twice a year, for standard time and daylight savings time.

Next weekend will be for standard time. It's about 2 seconds off since what, last April? I usually wear it to bed. I think I left it on the nightstand to "catch up" three times since April. I feel naked at night without the rollie on my wrist.
