Patek Salon in Geneva

I will be having a holiday in Geneva end July. I am wondering if this boutique is worth a visit. This is one of the three exclusive Patek boutiques in the world run directly by Patek themselves. How is the service there and do they have a more complete range for browsing compared to the usual PP ADs? Is prior appointment required or I can just walk in?

If you have been there before, please share your experience. Thanks.

Epic place to go. Ask your AD to give them a heads up you will be coming and they will give you the red carpet treatment I am sure! The selection is staggering - allow at least 2 hours!

Patek Geneve

I was there last July. After the visit to the salon, you must visit the Patek Museum!! Only a few minutes away. Incredible.

Is the red carpet treatment just for the high-end clients or for anyone being introduced by an AD?

I was talking to an AD about flying out to Geneva to try on some application pieces and the AD got excited and said he would fly out there with me and make arrangements to make the visit a special experience. I wasn't sure how seriously to take this offer. I suppose there are only so many Patek clients who are seriously looking at application pieces and perhaps the AD wanted me as a potential client...

Take him up on it. Why not if your already considering flying over there. Can't hurt.

Absolutely +1!! They look after walk-ins very well, but the dealer intro (and even accompaniment) will make for a special visit for sure! Bear in mind for many would be serious clients living in far flung places, this might be the only way to try a serious piece before having the application submitted.

Thanks guys for your input. I have contacted my AD and indeed they can arranged the visit. So really looking forward to it! Maybe I should also buy a PP watch on the spot while visiting the Salon so that I will not feel so guilty just looking and browsing while not buying anything. It makes a great souvenir anyway.

It is true that the Geneva salon would be the place to go see an application piece before ordering one. Unless Patek is visiting your locale for a special exhibition, the minute repeaters, tourbillons and split second chronographs are extremely difficult to spot at a local AD unless it was ordered by another customer awaiting pick up. May follow up on the AD offer when the timing is right for an application piece.
