Patek for my budget

I'm relatively new to high end horology and I'm looking into getting a dressier watch. Something on a leather strap that isnt too big. I dont like the Calatrava because its a little too plain. I'm wondering if there is a model that I can look into that has a bit of "flare" to it that is within my budget, if something even exists. I'm looking to spend around $20,000. I like the nautilis but I'm hoping for something a bit less sporty and more dressy.

Is there anything that you could recommend?

Aquanaut 5167 on a SS bracelet? Not sure what it would cost but is as cost effective as they go in PP!

For what it's worth, the 5167 on Steel Bracelet is a very nice piece right in your price range. Here is a close up of mine...

5167 on a bracelet must cover most occasions ,,, not quite a full dress , but certainly dressy enough for any occasion.
then bung it on rubber , and sporty enough for the rest of the time.

Personally for 20k I wouldn't do Patek. There are other brands with better watches for the price.

What about the Nautilus 3800/001 (if you can find one)? Smaller than the 5711 but looks similar / good on the wrist and can be had for $13k - $14k. You can get an additional $6k-$7k watch as well with the extra cash.

You can get the Aquanaut 5167 for around $19k as well but I just love the Nautilus.

how about a nice AC?

If you're willing to look at something pre-owned then you might consider a Patek 5035. I think it's modestly sized (37mm?) and it's an annual calendar. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the annual calendar functionally, but it does add some aesthetic interest with multiple subdials while maintaining a dress watch feel. A nice example in yellow gold could probably be had for around your price point.

+1 AFAIK the 5035 was the first annual calendar complication, ever, and so it may just be a future classic. Nowadays many companies (incl. Rolex) produces an annual calendar, but to me the Patek 5035 stays the king of the hill

Lange 1815 seems like it would fit the bill perfectly.

6000g or 6000r. It's a calatrava, but definitely not plain.
