BTW, I asked for the "Pepsi" and got it within 2 weeks! Super lucky, yes!
Totally agree with your assessment. It's just easier.

2 weeks on the Pepsi...wow! I'm #1 on the list at my local AD. Next Pepsi is mine. Can't wait.

Jubilees on GMTs have been around forever. Most who don't get "A Jubilee on a "sports" watch" seem not to understand that that the GMT Master was derived from the Datejust (TOG), the same reason the GMT has always had a date/cyclops since it's inception.

Also it was designed for pilots, the usual attire for which is a uniform, not a wetsuit, mountaineering, or spelunking gear. A Jubilee on a GMT Master makes a lot more sense than a date/cyclops on a dive watch.

Time to accept that just because a watch is a Pro Series model doesn't mean it must or should have only 1 type of bracelet.

And surely, the GMTs were conceptualized for pilots who were then in one of the most glamorous professions. The jubilee is precisely that...

I like Mark I and Mark II. It sounds more German and when Rolex changes the BLNR again in the future, you wont have to call it the Penguin or the Commissioner Gordon.

Please make it stop

What about the BLNR is Batman related? Or Dark Knight? I really don't get it in all seriousness.

Besides being more organic, Hulk is at least fitting as an all Green (dial and bezel) with sunburst effect Rolex (Sub btw which is pretty robust looking and Hulked up with larger lugs).

Kermit, Polar, Pepsi, Coke, Root Beer.....all make sense and fit those watches. Even the Tiger Eye and then the Patrizzi which was named after one of the first noticing the error coloring.

For some reason a number have been force feeding Batman for the BLNR for years. Now you have Hodinkee using it, which literally made me laugh out loud. I really think some care more about getting credit for creating new nicknames than they do the watches they wear.

The 116718LN-Green is of course the "Pot o' Gold".....the Rainbow Daytona is the "Wheel of Fortune"....oh wait is that the YM OF Precious Gem bezel that is really the "Wheel of Fortune".....For the WWE fans, the YG Day Date black diamond dial is the "Ric Flair". The YM2 is "The Game". YM 1 is the "Bill Goldberg".....wait coming full circle the 116710LN may need to be called the "JBL"

I need some nickname help from fellow forum members.....we can do it the "Nickname for Every Rolex Initiative"

I like the suggestion of Bruce Wayne, since it makes it less tool watch looking.

The Rolex guy in Wei’s video liked “Batman Returns”, a joke of the RPR that said it was discontinued. Thought it was kinda funny. Batgirl is just liked by the current BLNR owners that want to tout their as more special/original/manly.
