That’s unfortunate. Hopefully he is otherwise okay. Not much info to go off of in the article.

If it is the watch shown on the link, then they have priced it way to low!
They are showing a Skymoon Tourbillion with an estimated price of over £1,000,000

It looks like the writer does not know much about PP watches and her statement the watch stolen is similar to ones pictured is not accurate where those watches are far more valuable than 95K. Why print a picture if you cannot determine or do not know the exact reference is my question.

Similar incident happened in London as well last month http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/news/c...atch-1-5689869

and a few months back, again in London, a guy was stabbed to death to steal his Rolex Sub. Very sad

I read a similar story very identical in the details but it was a 5711. Which isn’t worth 90k either but it seems between the price and the photos the writer of the story did not do all their homework.

Could be an insurance scam. How hard is that model to sell / price?

We do no know what the guy was wearing. Sounds like an insurance scam to me too but who knows. Who the hell hangs their arms out of car windows in manhattan, you're likely to get it taken off by a cab or bike messenger.

There are places in the world where the attached hand would be broken or worse to expedite the transaction. Props to the “Golly, dumb thieves don’t even know what a Pateck Phillip is!” crowd.
