I like the 188 and the whole series of watches that are similar. The 196, 250, 251 and 236. I previously owned the 236 which is on a metal bracelet. Look around because the price differences on these watches is significant even in the same line. Buy right, sell right and you will not get hurt.

But isn't the 188 dial more white-white compared to the 251 where the dial is more eggshell white ?

188 is the best white dial chrono IMHO. If the price is right, I would definitely go for it!

Or I might be going for this rare bird

The notorious PAM07. You don't see these in the wild at all....

I was after a white dialed PAM and had also narrowed it down to the 563 or 188. I ended up with the 563, but only because it was easier to find and buy - but since your friend is selling, you won't have any difficulty with that part. I really like the brushed case, polished bezel combo on the 188. Do it!

I like white dial PAM. The lume is not great, but works perfectly as a day time watch :)

Decision made......188 is going to be my first white faced panerai, pictures will follow. That PAM07 is for me in the end a bit quircky, historical a Panerai model, but for me in the end not really.....(hope I don't offend hardcore Paneristi)
