Vintage Rolex strap buckle question
Does any one know if Rolex ever made this style of buckle? If you do, what were they made of?
This one seems to be either solid gold or gold filled but not sure Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don't know definitively, but I'm not buying it. I think it would be gold if it were anything, and it wouldn't tarnish like that.
Willing to be corrected if anyone knows. |

Real gold definitely tarnishes like that. If it is gold it should have the hallmarks on the back of the buckle so you should ask for those pictures. Personally if the price was right and I wanted it I would buy this. It looks legit to me.

I’ve asked for the seller to check for hallmarks as the buckle would be worth more than the strap but they don’t “want to touch it” because they think it’ll take way from it’s value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The red seal pictured is worth a pretty penny too.
1950’s I think. |

Uhhhh... they can’t turn it over and take a picture of the back of the buckle? It’s just a buckle, not a Faberge egg 😂
