Seiko Lume

Thought I'd have a go at trying some light painting today, didn't really go that well but thought I'd post the result, both in colour and a B&W version:

It's meant to say " LUME " by the way !

Think I need a thinner LED and a lot more practice.

Seiko lume is really some of the best if not the best lume in the business. Their lumibrite outshines super luminova by a mile; even on their cheaper watches.

By the way, I should have explained for those that don't know. Light painting is using a bright light to make patterns or 'write' words in the air on a picture with a long exposure to capture the light. So in my pics above I quickly wrote "Lume" in the air above the watch using a small led light. It's a biti like when you are a kid and use a sparkler to write your name in the air on fireworks night. It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be and I need a lot more practice!

It is bright, just doesn't last as long as some proclaim.

Well, Lumibrite is Luminova. Super Luminova and Chromalight are just other brands of Luminova-based lume.

I agree with how good Seiko's lume is, I just think it has more to do with how well/deeply they apply it.
