Toothpicks

Is guess this is what you'd consider tooth picks /overpolished i see the lug holes are actually in the bevels ,shame as it's got double punched papers ,but it's a no reserve auction so who knows.

"Fullty Serviced and Polished"

Is that a combination of fully and faulty?

Its a result of someone taking a lapping machine or satin wheel to the TOP of the lug, making the amount of material between the hole and top of lug next to nothing.

Most people focus on the width of the lugs, hence the term toothpick which this is not. It is however just as bad because one good shock could potentially break the springbar through the top of the lug.

It is a shame and I also saw this on the bay...

It may likely sell for over 10k because of all of the ephmera and cool look, but the owner will be a novice as no real collector would pay that much for a case like that. And becasue its punched and serial numbered, you cant swap out the case with another..

OK good to know PVR I thought those were what you guys called toothpicks and you’re right it looks like one good yank on the bracelet and the Spring bar would rip right through those lugs .I’m guessing a novice will pay close to $15k for this thing with the double punched papers, then come on here and ask you guys about it.
