I don’t believe they said.

The TR-900 was 41 mm which to me is perfect for a diver. Unfortunately the bathy cases are 38 and 43 I think?

Leaves something to be desired as I doubt we will see a new case. I’m guessing they will put a TR900 esq spin on a 43 bathy case and include a couple straps. Price around 15000

This is something I hadn't considered but an excellent guess. And yes, a TR in anything near a 40mm case would be killer.

Confirmed that the case is 40.3 and will look similar to current milspec.

In terms of resale, both the Hodinkee Bathyscape and the Barakuda do very well in the secondary markets.

Just curious but where’s the leak?

I wish I knew if there was a leak. The info I received was from a BP boutique rep.

Any confirmed info at all is a leak at this point. Sounds like a winner so far!

Still no word on what time the orders will open. Kind of odd this late, no?

Hodinkee posted a reply on another post on IG saying 11am. Haven’t seen anything formal but did see that.

Yes that was my post I should have mentioned. They replied 11am. Which would be EST.

Would love to see what is basically a no-date MilSpec. Although I'm sure a MilSpec I/TR900/LIP MilSpec-reissue would be equally, if not more, successful, I am personally a really big fan of the Tribute's aesthetic.

I think you’re in luck. I find it very hard to believe blancpain would make a one off case for hodinkee.

I’m wondering if the lume will be a different shade and if they will go solid case back.

Argh. I fear you may be right. I was hoping for a ~40mm FF (a la Tribute to Milspec, BOCIII, Barakuda, etc.) and not a Bathy style design. I can absolutely see the appeal of the TR-900, but I want that sapphire coated bezel of the more modern FF.

T-minus just over 14-hours and we should find out for real...

I sure hope so, and I'm inclined to agree about the case. And contrary to popular opinion, a brushed case would make me pause. Curious about the lume and caseback as well, though I don't mind either way regarding the latter.

And you have a new IG follower incoming.

I'm excited and anxious. LV and NYC boutiques said they believe it'll utilize the 40.3mm FF case and look quite similar to the Tribute to MilSpec. I feel the same way.

Well, the 2017 Milspec I bought will be my last from this brand.

I agree with the changes, it's everything i would have done with the original. But to sell out, merely 3 years later no less, customers who bought a watch that was to be a special run of 500. Wow. Thanks Hayek. You lost a customer for life.

Clean setup. Looks great. 9 min in and not sold out yet (250 pieces, it looks like).

Will try to offload some pieces in favor of paying for this one.

I’m having difficulty with the photos. Can anyone confirm that the Hodinkee LE has a flat sapphire bezel, while the Milspec from 2017 has a curved bezel? Something about this looks off to me (e.g., quite flat and not as dynamic as the other modern 40mm FFs) but can’t find the right angles to confirm. Thanks.

Bought!!!

Very clean and looks great, but we'll see if it's a keeper once it's in. Worse case, I lose a couple thousand; worth it for the chance at getting this.

Pretty sure hodinkee offers pain free returns. I bought one as well.

I mean, I understand being upset at the perceived infringement on the tribute , but isn’t that the nature of refinement? I don’t think we can blame either brand for either allowing the collaboration or honoring the history. I mean, does the Speedmaster still sell?

I think the bezel is more flat. Basically this is the same case and bezel used for the Barakuda I think.

No "Blancpain" on the side of the case? Only bummer for me but I think that is the popular decision.
