New 2021 Zenith ChronomasterSport

This looks promising, ceramic bezel probably.
Release date 22nd of January.

What do you think?
I hope to be in 39/40mm that will be sweet

Fingers crossed that they deleted the date window. Dates dont belong on chronos IMO

Well, they didn't... (sigh). You can find an image with the Purists at watchprosite.com.

I vacillate on that...I don't mind a date on a chrono and some times I do...it's not a deal breaker either way for me I suppose.

We should know more in an hour, but any idea on what the movement improvements were? Size? Water resistance?

Also, I fear it looks too much like the daytona from a distance.

$10,000. Tough company at that price range.

Discounted down to $7,000! Right where the new Speedy is.

New 2021 Zenith ChronomasterSport

It's very nice but I feel like it’s trying hard to look like a Daytona. Plus, the price at $10k is steep IMO.

New piece looks great, 10th second timing, 41 mm and water proof.

New 2021 Zenith ChronomasterSport

Dimensions for those who are interested;
41mm diameter
13.5mm thick
46mm lug to lug

Impressive movement with a true scale chronograph to 1/10th of a second. Looks good in pics with the multi color sub dials! Would have to see in person.

I wouldn’t call it a Daytona killer though. If you want a Daytona, get a Daytona. If you want a Zenith, get the Zenith.

I like the black dial more, definitely needs to be checked in person.
I agree with price discounted in next months after settling down a bit.

I like the look. It is a nice update. I wish they did this one in 40mm. I wonder what used ones will be going for in another year.

The 1/10 second measure is pretty fun. I recently picked up this striking 10th and the sweep is fascinating.

Looks good and the moment sounds interesting, but personally I would go with A386 or one of the other revival series. 38mm case size and a more classically zenith look appeal to me more than this “almost, but not quite a Daytona”.

Agreed. I’m a fan of the 38mm version as it’s true to Zenith’s design.

I really like it...ok so it looks a bit like a daytona...so what...my old daytona has a zenith movement..

Anyway, not sure I'd love a center hand running 10 seconds....I tend to like the seconds hand to count the full minute...I'll likely pick one up for fun anyway

The more I see it and think about it, the more I like it. I am not saying it is better then the Daytona, or that if someone offered me both, I would take the Zenith....however, there is something more attractive about it then the Daytona, except for the case. Daytona wins hands down there.

If this watch hits the grey market in the 5 to 6 range of the other El Primero's...I think I would buy it.

Anyone know if the clasp is stamped or milled?
