AP Legacy or PP Nautilus 5980/1A?

Both in the same price range. Which one would u choose and more desire?
Which one holds better values? Thanks in advance.

I'd go with the Nautilus, that AP looks good but it's too sporty and chunky for me.

Patek always holds its value better. Nautilus hands down.

The AP is cool but the PP is CLASS.

I just wore a nautilus for the first time. It is amazing. Made me feel like a better person, lol. Ive worn a couple AP's and they just didnt do that for me, and I love them and am actually looking at buying one. But the PP wins easy for me

Isn't really easy to compare those two watches, The Legacy is one huge piece , and if you have the arms for it I'd say it would look great.

But for a more versatile watch I'd go for the Nautilus.
Or maybe any other model from the RO line?;)

Get the Nautilus. Arnold pieces are getting harder to shift and I don't think that particular model will age well.

Everyone here knows I am the biggest AP fan on this forum. That AP is beautiful but has never been my cup of tea. I'd say go with Patek!!!! The chrono module on that watch is just spectacular. That's what 'haute horlogerie' is about!!!

I was mistaken, I was thinking of the moon phase version which is only 60 M due to the pushers

The 5960P is my DREAM watch but it's on WR to 30 M :(

I really may have to revisit the 5980/1A

For me the choice is easily the PP. The Nautilus is a great looking watch which can be used for any occasion and I prefer steel bracelets. I find many APs attractive but I am not too fond of their recent ROO sports watches which tend to be a bit too contemporary and commercial for my taste. If I had to spend the same amount of money, I'd probably get two ROs (instead of one oversized ROO)

From a value perspective, based on the current market the Nautilus will certainly come out on top. But if Arnold was to sadly pass away unexpectedly who knows what would happen to the price of the Legacy...

This particular AP is poorly designed astetically and not to mention the horrible sunken in date display. Easy PP for me.

I think I have finally found a reason to sell a few watches
I have been sitting on and not giving the attention they deserve....

I may be too scared of scratching up the bezel though...

Still its beautiful and a big + to me that you can actually wear
it swimming...

You'll never regret buying Patek is what I always say... I'll have to get one at some point to find out if there is any truth in this but for me it's a no brainer Patek all the way.

I am going to go against it and vote for the Legacy. If you can afford a watch like that then you shouldn't care about resale value and the Legacy is awesome.

This is the best patek in my opinion. If this gonna be my first watch I will buy the AP. It's all depends on what you have right now. Since I already have AP then I will get this Patek.

Like many others have already said; those are two very different watches. The Audemars Piguet Legacy is way too big for my wrists so I would most likely choose the Patek.
