I have to agree with Larry that the Bluesy is the most beautiful watch and I'm a guy who had a Bluesy C and sold it!
I've worn an SD4K for half an hour and it is tall! Much the same weight as Bluesy C though. Thing is..you've always posted about loving your Bluesy. Both is therefore the only way to go..both or stay with the LB. That sunburst dial just comes alive in sunlight! |

I believe after a few months of the SD you will get bored with this one. Yes it is black and a neutral color, but the TT Blue goes with everything from casual to business dress. And the blue dial with gold script? Iconic and beautiful!

I would also choose the LB. I understand wanting to try out something new but honestly the SD4K was a disappointment. The flat dial and the thickness made it less desirable than the sub to me, but those are also characteristics that SD fans like. I would strongly recommend trying one on before buying.

Yes the bluessy anytime.. No brand like Rolex can do Blue and 2 tones so beautifully. The blue sunburst dial and blue ceramic bezel with the solid gold center links are a Royal combo. Its the only watch that i receive the most compliments. However if value is concern then the SD4000 since it is already discontinued. Goes with yr heart... I would grab the Bluessy without hesitation..

I personally would go for the bluesy. I almost got one myself but I hear next year might be a big year for the Submariners so I'ma wait.

To be honest, getting rid of my TT smurf was one of my biggest mistakes. I should probably pick another one up. The SDC does nothing for me. I’d go with the bluesy.

Having owned and loved both I would go with the SD4k. IMHO it’s the best owning one Rolex to have.

Phased out, hell it's been terminated!!! If you want a watch that is more eye catching then the blue is the way to go. The SD is much stealthier.

The Sd4000 could very well be one of the most perfectly made Rolex’s ever! IMO It looks like a vintage/modern classic! It will become extremely hard to purchase as time goes by, so I would go with the sea dweller. It’s pure class. The bluesy is a beautiful watch to add later. There’s millions of them out there so don’t worry.

I would keep the Bluesey - I think its a lovely watch but the SD4k which I had as well is the perfect everyday watch - it's just a little boring thats all after a while.

I own none of the above but i would keep the 116613 and add the 116600 if i was you Mario. If the choice was between the 16613 (the real bluesy as per the legend JJ) and 116600 i would opt for the latter.

Well, the question to me is whether or not the 116600 is actually worth having as a collectible Rolex due to its replacement by the SD43 and if that is important to you?
Aside from that, personally I like having something flashy to be able to wear on occasion. For me the SkyD in blue is the trick. It seems to be a crowd-pleaser for the non WIS contingent. Would I be happy with it as my only; I'm not certain but I'd likely tire of its sparkling nature. Would I get bored with the 116600 as an only; I might get bored but I'm certain I could live with the problem. |

I owned the 116600 briefly and the old bluesy 16613 and have tried on the new bluesy 113313, and I would definitely go with the 116613. I love the blue dial and the way it wears more than the thicker SD. I also like the cleaner bezel of the Subs. Both are super nice though.

A lot of instructions!
I much prefer the sd , however, you stated that the TT sub is your all-time favorite. If that's the case, why would you even be questioning it? Get what you like |

The Bluesy is nice but once you put a 16618 or a 116618 on wrist, you will be craving the gold Sub. I honestly love both and would have a hard time deciding. The 5 digit has the classic Sub design but it's bracelet isn't as substantial as the 6 digit ceramic but it is available for $5-8k less on average than a 6 digit and no more will ever be produced. There are several things to look out for. The date wheel font (open 9) on earlier ones, tritium vs. superluminova, holes vs. no holes case, engraved rehaut vs not engraved and I'm sure there are more differences over the production. It's all personal preference but of course if you can find one for a great price, all that stuff doesn't really matter.
With the 116618s all you have to look out for are the matte vs. sunburst dials. Some feel like the matte blue matches the ceramic color better while others don't care and prefer the classic blue dial that makes everyone go crazy over this watch.

As for TT I would probably go ceramic. The bracelet is a huge improvement and why they command the premium over the 5 digits. I personally don't like the older 16613s with the SS clasp. It interrupts the design and looks dated imo. This changed in 2000? I believe in 2000 there were still some SS clasp 16613s produced so 2000 is not really definitive. Most on this forum are aware of all the changes but I've seen sellers charging the same price for a SS clasp model as a full gold center link one and the latter one is obviously more valuable.

The 116600 is the one that got away for me (will only buy new and From AD so the ship has sailed). So that would be the way I went in the first instance (if they were still being produced). But I’d have ended up with both at some point.
