Oh geez. I thought we were talking about that naked AP.

Panda shouldn't be anywhere near that. Maybe 29-30 with papers. TS is $31.x.

I think you're thinking of a Rolex Panda. The panda we have been talking about recently is a AP RO Panda (26331).

Curious, where do you see a 26331ST Panda full set for less than $37.5k, all in?

Daytona white dial are curious. Prices on Moda dipped into the high $20k's, but now seem to have bounced up a bit to very low-low $30k for unworn specimens.

I think that poster thinks we are talking about a Panda Daytona not an AP.

You're right. My bad I read Panda and thought Rolex. Wasn't paying attention.

I think that 26331ST panda at $37.5k seems like a good deal.

The new owner can send to AP for service and light polish, it will come back looks new again.

It sold for $36.5k so even better deal.

I just got off with a jewelry guy my family uses in NYC and he quoted me $50k for a BNIB 26331 Panda (which I think is way too high). Told him one sold last month in MODA for like $45k and that the market hasn't gotten better but he tried convincing me otherwise and went on about how the model is discontinued and so hard to get (give me a break).

I'd say market price for a used full set 26331 Panda should be about $38k right now. Brand new about $40k.

Was really frustrating seeing his case full of BNIB 16202s, 15510s, and 26240s. Obviously, things have not changed much as far as who gets these pieces.

With Watches and Wonders hanging along the horizon, dealers are pumping the discontinuation story. They’re best chance to pump and dump those overpaid pieces. So what if a watch got discontinued, life still goes on. There will still be multiples of it being sold in secondary markets.

Exactly. A 26331 is not a rare piece. There are hundreds if not more out there. The way my guy talked, you’d think there was only 5 ever made.

Yeah exactly. Try selling him a piece and he will tell you the exact opposite and paint you a picture of doom and gloom to buy it off you at ridiculously low prices. So until now many people still don’t see this. This whole market is manipulated all the way from the most minuscule aspects.
The price correction(and its speed of correction) only tells me 1 thing : there is no scarcity to begin with. It’s hoarding and business strategies from ADs.

Spot on lol. I inquired about trading my batgirl towards it and the line I got was that Rolex prices are coming way down BUT AP prices are shooting back up lol. How much do we want to bet that if I was doing the opposite trade he’d say the inverse?

26400IO w/ card sitting for $25.5k

15510 BNIB for $41k and sitting

15500 for $34.25k sitting (full set 2022)

Royal oaks of all shapes and sizes are particularly tanking. No semblance of a floor yet. Most dealers won’t even buy a royal oak. Just call and ask…

What are the offer prices ppl are getting these days for certain models?

My friend is selling or rather liquidating his collection as watches no longer interest him (well rather there is no more investment that he see's) but the numbers are very very low for outright sale prices. Even lower than what I see on MODA.

Offers from greys are 25-30% below their advertised prices.

He could join MODA and pay them to auction them off. Probably better result. Bad time to sell. Should have kept dry powder for the pickups this year.

Good idea. I'm gonna tell him to join MODA. Not sure though dont you need like to be trusted on there to list an actual sale? Or anyone can list on there?

I joined MODA a long long time ago but never sold anything on there.

No but you won't get a good price as a nobody... and he'd have to ship first and get a wire later if he dealt with a big dog.

Try the Trusted sellers here first of course.

But if he can't get satisfaction I'd recommend he sends the pieces to MODA family for auction and pays a fee. They check out the piece and list it either for sale or auction as he wishes.

You have a friend that thought mass produced watches were prudent investments? SMH

If he bought these resale, he’s going to get burned big time. A lot of dealers will only buy outright with an insane lowball (even up to 50%+ less than the highest watermark on C24; and people still say there isn’t a bid ask spread LOL). If not, they’ll gladly consign as they don’t have skin in the game.

His best route is to take a quick L on MODA and don’t look back.

Decline for AP continues. Even on this forum Code11.59 Chrono is now advertised for 39k. Thats literally 15k off MSRP prior to tax

Wonder how quickly this will relay to declines on ROO... Still waiting for my turn but not at close to 60k after tax retail

What's he got? Maybe people here would beat the grey dealer offers slightly and everyone wins...

26470st 2021 fullset - sold for $22.5k

ROO Ghost fullset unsold for $28.5k (this was one of the more hyped ROOs)

Prices are getting lower by the day for AP
