Gold colour on 116613 vs 16613
Hi,
I've actually already ordered my first, a 116613LB, waiting for it to come in, and I've seen a lot of discussion about the differences in the ceramic, dial, etc., but in pictures with the two side by side, the gold center links and accents look like a darker yellow on the 16613 (which I prefer) compared to the ceramic - can anyone confirm if this is actually the case? Is it not the same Rolex gold used on both? Thanks! |

It's all 18k. The older ones may be a bit dull but will shine up nicely.

It's pictures like the attached that throw me off. See how the 16613 on the right has a darker looking gold compared to the 116613 on the left?

Gold will turn a bit of a copper color after a time but will brighten back up when cleaned. I've notice this with my 116613's.

I actually prefer the darker colour, but good to hear they're both the same, thanks

What type of cleaning? I would be curious to see a piece of cloth bridge the differences between the two colors. Or do you mean a polishing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't polish my watches. Just clean in the shower or a little Dawn and a soft brush. Will brighten up the gold. If you prefer a more muted gold, maybe just wipe with a micro fiber cloth and wash on occasion.
