15710 Question
Hey guys,
Just a couple of quick questions about the 15710 AP OF Diver. How rugged is it compared to a submariner? Would you recommend trading a sub for the Diver? Is it possible to install a steel bracelet on it? Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yes you can purchase a steel bracelet for the diver. Rolex movement more rugged as per say but the AP is haute horology whereas the Rolex is mass produced. Different leagues. |

Obviously I will have to put cash on top. I know they are different leagues, I’m asking about usability, everyday use and reliability. Thanks for your response. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Owned a 15710, great comfortable daily. My “abuse watch” is my 15707 and it has been great four years straight. The movement is very accurate and can withhold more abuse than I would have guessed before purchase. Probably not bomb proof as a Rolex but not far off.

Mine is a daily wearer and goes pretty much everywhere with me.
Accuracy remains superb. The case finish is also holding up much better than expected. If you do get one, give the rubber strap a try first as it’s exquisitely comfortable.

Depends what else you have but I think the sub is a much better option for a 1 watch collection. The Diver is too thick to wear for all occasions.

I flipped my SubC to fund the AP. The rubber was, by far, the most comfortable rubber strap I’ve owned. That said, I’ve since acquired the bracelet and it’s been on ever since. In terms of daily use it will wear less well than the sub, but isn’t quite the “scratch magnet” I feared. With a little wrist awareness it’s an awesome daily. . I recently picked up a SD43 but the Diver spends more time out of the box. The diver wears slightly larger than the sub, but no bigger than the SD (way heavier though).
