Pam 82 vs Pam 127

First off, let me say that I absolutely love both watches and would be happy to own either one. Both watches are in excellent shape and are just about the same amount of $. I have have long ago realized that most Panerai watched do not appreciate in value. These 2 however are rare pieces and quite expensive at >12k. My question is which is more collectsble and which one will better hold its value?

Thank you in advance!
Anthony

Panerai 127 it’s one of the best, Fiddy 1950 at 47mm. This will be my choice, the Pam 82 I’m not a fan, good luck and the 127 will hold is value much better

Panerai 127... all the way! No doubt; but if you want a 44 mm blue dial titanium.. the 127 is not...

MM blue is nice, but Fiddy is always the right choice.

Thanks for the responses. I am not a flipper but what are your thoughts on the 127's LT value?

The 127 would be my choice of the two. Long term value is not good on either. The 127 was selling trading for 20K plus or minus a little just a few years ago and can now be had for around 12K. Panerai values are like the tide, they rise and fall and very seldom will you ever get your money back out. With that said I like the brand, dislike the marketing and how they undercut the values by introducing different variations of a watch. The 422 is the 127 for about 7k less. Give it a look and don't get hurt.

While the 127 is more popular among paneristi but there are many "derivatives" of it (422,375,629) whereas there's only one titanium blue dial MM (yes there are several blue dial titanium models sans MM)

However for 12k there's no way I'm getting the 82,saw one in late 2018 asking for "only" around 8.5-9k usd,I also saw 127 asking around 11k around the same timeframe...both complete set

I agree the 82 is overpriced. There is also a limited number of "excellent shape" 127's available. The ones that are that condition are like 14k. I'm gonna be patient.
I like 1William's idea of the 422 as an option. Would be a little less concerned about LT value with a 6-7k piece. Other thoughts on the 422? How it's viewed/Value/ bang for your buck?

thanks again

Thanks for the advice. I just pulled the trigger on a 422. Beautiful watch!
