1625 TOG New to Me

Just received this today. 2mil serial from the early 70s. Has a deep gold/bronze dial with white lettering.

Bought it from a vendor on VRF. Some dings on the bezel, marks on the caseback, and a little rotor noise, but super clean dial and case for the most part (brushed finish could use a little freshening but no dings or over polishing). Will be getting it serviced.

Anyone know if the bezel dings can be remedied? Both aren't that deep but disrupt the lines on the bezel. I know replacement bezels aren't the easiest to find so I'm gonna stick with this one regardless.

Anyway, happy Saturday.

Anyone have advice on the bezel repair? My watch OCD needs answers.

I agree on the insert, numbers are well defined and don't show much wear, the marks are inconsequential.

1625 TOG New to Me

Thanks all- I probably will just get the top of the lugs cleaned up and leave it alone, cosmetically. It is running very well and gained only 5 seconds in 5 days, though if I keep it, I'll have it looked for need of service since history is unknown and it's obviously been well loved.

Nice piece - I am slightly older and have many more dings ~ part of the joy of vintage

Bezel inlay

I would like to buy your vintage bezel inlay, if you are going to buy a newer less worn one.

Just info.

Best regards,
Jesper

Beautiful watch. I have slightly modern TOG and love it too.
