I got to try the sd43 on today. What a good looking watch it is. I thought the diameter and weight were acceptible but for me it sat to tall on the wrist due to the protruding case back. I envy those who can wear a taller watch as I really did like the new seadweller.

Forums are for discussion, not meaning to be the final word! As the owner of every current model, thought i might bring my perspective.
One thing I've seen often, to be honest, is people who have traded in or sold their beloved _____ to buy the new whatever. It's only human nature they'd be defensive about such a big move. No such motive here. |

It's such a beauty and it looks great on you! The AD in California keeps me waiting (maybe even till Sept!). I'm glad for everyone who got one already :)

Thanks for your review. I also have sd4k, dssd, and sd43. The 43 is just a tad under the size of the dssd but to me that's the great thing about this watch. Agree it's completely different from the sub so that comparison is out the window, but the thinner 43 along with 22 mm lugs makes it wear so well to me.
I look forward to your assessment after a few weeks of wearing it and see if it grows on you. |

Thanks for this review. The watch looks great on you. I have a 7.5" wrist and now you've got me thinking...

The last "real" Sea-Dweller had lugholes.... Just sayin'. ;-)
The watch looks good on you. It would be cool to see your whole range of divers to see how this one fits. |

I'll second that, I have a 7.5" wrist and that watch looks good on my wrist imo. I didn't look at it and think it looked massive at all.
Just a well proportioned piece where everything is easily read at a glance. I didnt think that the strap was as wide as I expected it to be either. Nothing like the strap on an Omega PO, this is more slender and better proportioned. |

Very nice, thanks. Interesting that you think the DSSD and SD50 are so close, as in those photos at least they seem to be quite different, size-wise. |
