Pam140

I am thinking about selling my PAM140. It being only produced from 2003-2006, with only about 1400 produced, mines being a G series, 2004, only 250 made in 04, I am having trouble letting it go. Opinions. Would you sell or keep. Would use the funds to purchase a Rolex 116500

Personally I would keep it. Try putting it away for a few weeks and then come back to it and see how you feel?
Perhaps not a great time to be selling/trading in any case.

How long did you own and wore the watch for?
I find that the longer I have a watch and get used to it it becomes harder to let it go.

Gold Luminor + waffle dial, the 140 is quite nice. I’d have a hard time moving it, even for a Daytona. But the heart must do what the heart must do.....

I purchased the 140 in 2008 at a really good number. I do not wear it a lot but it is one of my favorite watches.

It is being held hostage right now, can’t get to it if I wanted to.

I wouldn’t do the trade, I’d add the Daytona. You said yourself it’s one of your favourite watches.

I would get the numbers from some Trusted Sellers and see what the value toward your trade would be. My experience with PM Panerai watches is that they are super soft even in the best of times. I would think you would have a difficult time getting a fair price for your watch. But you don't know until you ask. I would be tempted to hold it and try to figure out the Daytona purchase without the 140.

I picked up the watch in 2008 for a REALLY GOOD number. Even in bad times I will get more than I paid. When I purchased the watch, list was around $17K then it jumped to $25K. I been thinking about this for days as I already picked up the 116500

Check the prices on Chrono24........
I think it’s a very difficult time to sell that piece.

It is in my SDB and the bank’s lobbies are closed. Drive thru only. Called and can access by appointment.

I didn't know this reference and it looks quite nice. Especially like how the indices are applied with what seems to be gold surrounds too, which is unusual for Pams.

If it's one of your favorites, I like the idea of putting it away to see if you miss it first. Why would you sell one of your favorites? It's very different from the Daytona, so I don't think they would fill each other's places in a collection.

I'd rather enjoy that Panerai on my wrist than a Daytona.

It is always away, this is why I’m thinking about letting it go.

I don’t think I’d let that go. As someone else said, try some different straps. Perhaps something matte.
