All, I just bought an Diver I series, some Divers I see in I series have solid case backs while some have the new Crystal back. Would AP upgrade a solid case back to crystal upon service if requested?

Yes, correct. The model# is different as well. 15703 for soild caseback, 15710 for the new clear caseback.

J series is out too. Held a J 15710 in Bangkok a month ago.

Completely normal to find early I-series with solid case backs.
