Diver I series Crystal and Solid Case bBck

All, I just bought an Diver I series, some Divers I see in I series have solid case backs while some have the new Crystal back. Would AP upgrade a solid case back to crystal upon service if requested?

am I correct that the early I series had solid and the later crystal?

Yes, correct. The model# is different as well. 15703 for soild caseback, 15710 for the new clear caseback.
