Interesting observation. I agree, one rarely see the white gold 40mm daydate.

They are about; four month waiting list in the UK. But they're possibly bought by people of a slightly more 'retiring' nature.

If you’re willing to go preowned you can get very close. There’s one in ATL listed just below $24K and the dealer will entertain an offer.

Chocolate dial so that may not float your boat.

But others are all around in the $25K range. Just be diligent and buy from a trusted source.

I dont think a dealer will negotiate a 4k price drop on already a 2nd hand price.

Even at $24k its a good deal if the watch is in good condition. If its mint/pristine it will fetch alot higher than $24k. The example above is probably not in the best condition or well used.

I have a dj2 and looked/tried a dd2 when in Vegas in april. They are a rare find so I tried one on and boy was the watch massive. Felt so much bigger than the datejust. I went with a dd40 instead - true perfection for me.

The DD II in WG is a cool watch and one I have not owned. I currently own a DD II in YG and would like a DD II in WG. The prices are going to be around 25-27k depending on the dial.

I want more gold for the money. Also love larger watches! Still considering this piece. However it may not be flashy enough for me. Trying to find a sweet spot.

Love WG watches, own a 18239. Think the 40mm version would be too big for my taste!

It's like impossible to try and determine what a good price is for one of these. Would love the fluted bezel WG with blue ice dial.
