Blue or brown dial for the red gold Royal Oak Chrono?
I'm interested to know which dial you would choose for the red gold ROC.

Depends if you have another blue dial in your collection. AP for sure does blue like no one else. If you don’t have one then go blue, otherwise you will probably regret it later. If you do have a blue already then go with the brown dial. I’ve tried it on and it is absolutely beautiful, classy and unique!

No wrong choice here really. Although, a blue dial always gets my money.

Both are beautiful, but for long term the blue dial is always in demand.

I think the brown dial compliments much better.
The blue dial seems a bit too quirky for rose gold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think these are actually quite different watches. First off, if you can swing it, get the full gold and not the alligator strap.
The brown is just total class. It's so warm and beautiful. To me, it's the definition of understated luxury (although I admit a full gold watch surely isn't "understated"). I think it's best if you dress more professionally or business casual. The blue, as others have said, is gorgeous as well. AP blue is really special. I think the blue dial is a bit more sporty and casual looking and I personally think it is better suited for casual dress and weekend dress. I don't know if I would say blue is quirky with rose gold, but it definitely isn't as striking as the brown. That said, there are no rules and I'm just giving you my personal thoughts. Honestly, you can't go wrong. My only thing would be don't go for the blue just because blue is more popular. Pick the one that works best for you and your collection. |

Agree. Brown dial is natural choice for RG. Can’t go wrong with either one. I would pick the one that sings the most on the wrist.

Brown. I've compared both side by side. IMO, rose gold and blue just don't go together. Blue is a cool color. Hence it works so much better with steel, Ti, white gold and platinum.
There's a reason why almost all premium watch brands use the rose gold and brown combination. |

I have to admit, I'm tired of the blue dial bandwagon everyone is jumping on.
The pic above with the brown dial on full rose gold looks amazing. |

RG + Choco dial
That is THE combo these days. All the big boys are having this combo with great success. |

Blue does not go with the subdials as well as the brown but the fanboys and instagramers will always go blue no matter what.
