.
Funnily enough I had the same thought ... not sure how much it costs but I think I'm just going to let it be for now. GB-man is right, there are a lot of other similar white metal accents on the watch, in particular, the housing for the pushers.

I wonder if AP would allow the switch to steel plots. I think the RG plots look great (and tie in well with the hands, markers, and crown tip) but steel could be interesting and tone it down a little bit.

Same here - not making any hasty decisions until I finally see in in the flesh and rock it for a week or three.

White metal plots would look great as well; I'd just make sure to get Ti ones to match the existing buckle vs steel. Wonder if there are any other PoG CE incomings on the forum besides our two?

That’s true, Ti would probably be the best match.

I know Bushido is getting a CE as well. Conkers is getting the RG.

I was able to find some more photos on a German watch website called Luxify which show a few pics of both the CE and RG versions. These are the only ones I could find which show both the dial and buckle together in the same photo.

From the looks of it, I think the buckle matches perfectly with the case housing for the pushers. This leaves me not having any concerns over the metal buckle.

As to the gold strap plots: I'm guessing in person these will be more of a subtle accent vs being too much.

November cannot come soon enough!

I would be less hesitant about the buckle and more hesitant about the plots, to be honest.

Just not sure how the RG accents on just the plots and portions of the dial will work with the overall aesthetic.

on the Luxify site, the crown tip does not look like RG - but I think there is some indication that it actually might be, in production versions?

That is correct. The WCL and Luxify pics were both of the pre-production version. The production version will have the RF crown tip and the rotor will be engraved with the silhouette of the Brandenburg Gate.

Here is what looks like an official AP picture from Rueschenbeck's website (a German AD that is getting some allocations) ...

Funny how you just a touch more RG on the crown makes such a visual improvement, at least to my eyes lol

I agree. It helps balance the design and makes it look more cohesive overall.

Wrong rotor on that photo. No Brandenberg Gate - check out the photos on the AP website. The rose gold version looks awesome. The reincarnation of the era-defining RG rubber clad. Can’t wait for mine to arrive.

So it's just the normal rotor? That's disappointing. In the website it still showing the caseback with the bradenberg gate.

I think Roger is referring to the early press photos which show the standard gold AP rotor. I'm pretty confident the AP website has the final version correct.

Exactly - the photo above of the casebook is not correct - I believe the rotor which has the gate picture on it will also be blackened gold. The photos on the website would seem to corroborate that. As mentioned, I think the RG looks fabulous!

The plot thickens as the one that is already apparently on sale(!) has the regular rotor!

Wow! They both look fantastic in the pics on AP’s site.

CE: https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....A002CA.01%20/

RG: https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....A002CA.01%20/

The Brandenburg Gate engraving looks cool on the black rotor. It matches the theme better than YG rotor on the concept models.

Roger, that FS listing is using pictures from WCL and Luxify which were the only 2 sites that posted real life shots of the concept watches from SIHH. Likely, that person is selling a watch that they have secured but have not received yet.

Those look like some of the promotional photos vs the actual watch?

It is the wrong rotor. The rotor should be gold with the Brandenburg gate.

I really like that the rotor is blacked out. On the prototype there was a standard 3120 yellow gold rotor which I thought clashed a little bit with the rose gold accents on the watch. To my eyes the black rotor looks more cohesive.

I was in Munich last week and had the pleasure of test driving the Pride of Germany 1 day after it dropped on the website, pic below. To balance out my fantastically poor and blurry photo, I am complementing it with an amazing shot I found on IG.

I am putting down a deposit for this — ultimately the full ceramic case won me over, and I really like the rose gold plots. I think it’s a unique, unexpected twist. The watch wears dark, though not as dark as the 26405ce (I can barely read the dials on that one), and the Grey is an elegant choice. The subdials and the overall look reminds me of the 42mm Ginza 7. I am also a fan of the gold Brandenburg rotor.

My understanding is that it is black coated gold, so possibly DLC or similar.

Happy to hear that it looks great in person.

Correct. That's my understanding as well ... Similar to the rotor on most of the standard 44s ... but with the Brandenburg Gate engraving instead of "AP" ...

But didn't the guy above see the actual watch in munich and say the rotor was gold?

It is technically gold. Just not gold in color.

If the one he tried on was indeed gold in color my bet is that it’s a pre-production demo (like the pieces shown at SIHH). I can’t image that the official stock photos on the AP site are incorrect.

So I got a call at 1.48am California time today - my ceramic PoG is IN and ready to be collected!

Much earlier than the late October / early November I was told to expect. Super excited but have business commitments that keep me tied up for the next two weeks before I can jump a flight to Europe and scoop it up.

Did anyone else get the call yet?!
