I had the same reaction when another 7020 thread popped up a few days ago. Such cool and unique piece.

Well, it wears beautifully, a very standard sized watch. Runs very well, I was able to set the day/date quite easily, no quick set (I had a Rolex Day Date from 64 up until recently). Dates/days snapped around very sharply, in fact better than the recently serviced Rolex Day Date. The Sunday day on the day dial is pretty ghastly, must have stopped on a Sunday for many many years.

Rather annoyingly the serial number has completely worn away.

The clasp has an engraving, which reads something like "...name....Love ART EN '71"

Oh lastly, one of the links in the bracelet is an older style rolled link. It appears to have been roughly added to extend the bracelet. I will have my jeweler remove this as the bracelet is quite long luckily.

Ha ha, yeah for sure. Correct me if I am wrong but were all of these made in 1969?

Correction, the serial number is intact. The spring bars were distorted and appear to be about to fail too.

Serial confirmed as 690775

Well I was hoping I could get away with wearing it for a few days/weeks before its service. The watch ran nicely all day yesterday. Today however the hands and date/day are stuck but the seconds are progressing...

Update: The watch seems to stop each day at 10:18, oddly, I am checking the watch in the evening often past that time, when I wake up its has gone back to 10:18. I havent had it opened yet, but I am actually really dreading it. Anyhow, photos of the internals to come this week!

Also, I have decided to ship the bracelet off to Michael Young for a thorough service. I have a 200USD credit with him, so I might as well use it.

For that price is a steal.....bracelet is not correct to the watch but you can sell it at the price you got the watch :-)

Ok - Bracelet has been shipped off to Michael Young.

The next step is to have the watch itself assessed. Hopefully this will occur this week.

Hey I would like to know what bracelet exactly these were sold on? I see them on all types, but if someone has a clasp code or something to go on that would be great.

Just checking out this thread.
Did you ever get that AS 1895 working well again?
